High-quality Italian gilt metal cylindrical trinket box from the 1800s. The lid features a porcelain lozenge with a romantic scene in the style of Limoges. Intricate floral and leaf patterns with green enamel accents surround the central porcelain.The central portion of the canister has an engine-turned design. Overall in very good condition with minor wear on the base and rim. Stamped 'Made Italy'.
